Rocker oil line routing

I've never seen one routed up from the front like that. Normally the only Q is between the manifolds or on the timing side.

I would say the hose was too long and this was a creative fix;)

Style or fashion had zero to do with the configuration applied. Zero.

The lines are routed the way they are to clear the valve openings.
No annoyance involved.


Look again at where the oil line routing guides are mounted. Above and away from the cover. When the valve cover is removed the braided line lifts up and away offering clear and unimpeded access to the valves for adjustment.

As well, the line guides offer a smooth routing throughout the "run".
No kinks, vibration is suppressed as the oil line vibrates with the engine, not independently of the engine.

And no flopping around or wagging in the wind thus eliminating any friction from rubbing or slapping against any other component.
Functional and user friendly.

Option #3, eliminate the crossover completely-have your inlet rocker spindles drilled through and run a single line to the right hand head then run a single line off the left hand side to a gauge. I'd post a picture but I'm nowhere near a camera or the bike right now.

I am looking for a built up one piece stainless steel braided line that uses a right side "L" fitting( as the original plastic line) ,instead of the easy way that uses a long bolt and three seals and two lines
 
One of my thoughts lying here recovering from an operation is to run two oil lines up from the timing case union... one to the right & one to the left.

Hard to see, but I'm running that type, I believe I sourced it from BritCycle
