MKIII standard oil line routing from filter to tank

Hi all,

Is this the correct routing for the oil line in the image at the left? The steel sheath is pinched between the swingarm and horn bell, but I couldn't come up with a better pathway. Its proving a bit hard to find reference images of this particular spot online so I was hoping someone here might be able to help out.

The routing looks correct, but I dispensed with the steel shielding, and supported the hoses so that they didn't rub on anything. I also relocated the horn.... It is a very busy area with little wiggle room...

Sacrilege, I know, but it works for me

No, with the spin-on cartridge oil filter only the feed line passes through the clip which would normally be on the front lower Z-plate fastener.

before i drop in the tank - verify my hose routing...

before I drop in the oil tank, can someone verify my hose routing. pretty sure it's the way it came apart. the oil hose clip mounts to the forward, lower, support bracket bolt, and as I recall there was only one hose through the clip. the parts book shows two hoses, but I don't have two...

What is drawn in the parts diagram is an error from before the filter was fitted when both lines did pass through the clip.

Thank you for linking this thread, it certainly does clarify my improper clip placement which I’ll happily correct, but what I’m hearing is the routing of the line between the horn and swing arm is correct as is? Unless I’m missing the obvious I can’t quite make out how that particular particular line runs in those pictures.

Thanks LAB, these videos were extremely helpful. For comparison it looks like below image represents the correct routing--going behind and over the horn rather than under. The hose takes a hard bend over the horn to get to the tank feeder but this feels much more correct.
