That style is usually mounted using hose clamps around the fork legs. However, I'm assuming you're wanting to use it on a Commando, so the inside of the legs is flat where you'd mount the fender. There used to be companies that made fenders with flat sided mounting points, so I'd continue to google cafe racer stuff till I found one.

For more style use a CNW steel fender;

If you are in UK why dont you go for the Norvil or Mick Hemmings design which bolts to the fork legs same as the original. It's worth beefing up the mounts with an additional layer of glass as they're a bit thin there. This is what they look like mounted.

Hi Jason

Rickman mudguards are not curved but flat top & edges. Not a good look in my opinion. Unless of course you are fitting it to a Rickman.

The blade style shown on your link is a Dunstall style. These look the business & are fitted using hose clips. You need to try one to see how it fits.
On my Dommie racer with narrow yokes & tyres it fits a treat. Bare in mind they are normally for 19 inch wheels, although they have been made to suit 18 inch as well. Next problem to look at is if you have 73/8 yokes, they wont stretch, they also wont clear the larger tyres people fit now days.
I wont buy mudguards without trying them for fit nowdays.
Hope this helps. Don't be put off.

Chris
