For the manics inside only, that have or dreamt of going so fine and so fast so sure they entered extra ordinary states, so...
Crazy thinking out loud in public - stemming from the states Hunter Thompson expressed and others recently too - on out of their rational minds handling zones. I don't think i've mastered 1st 4 phases of handling physics, just good enough to play them so to speak and not crash but there remains a most mysterious 5th phase of handling to me. I know what's going on in the lower 4 phases but not sure about the 5th's physics involved. Think of a stone lobbed hard into a lake then think of same throw horizontally, think of throwing it w/o spinning horizontally then with a fast level spin, picture what the stone does in these states - touching slightly rippled water surface. Same arm same stone same water same speeds but differing angles of attack. I see examples all the time of other bike doing 5th phase handling, hill climbers on rear only, Mx bikes on rear only, fish tailing drag bikes on rears only, unicycles on rears only, stunt bikes on rears only, trial bikes on rear only, me on rear only thrusting over THE Gravel or scampering up lumpy Mt sides or huge pasture swells like Steve MacQueen's Escape with the rear Ruling the Roost. Also the rolling burn outs Harleys to Hayabursas do but keeping front in function.
I know just leaning a unicycle can steer it just like our bikes do leaning into a turn. Done hands off to let or make bike fall into the lean the forks will straight steer into the turn at any speed just not as sharply as counter steering which helps rear tip over faster. Point of physics I get from this ordinary handling is rear rules the roost and front can go either way while bike still turns in same intended direction. In my case like on THE Gravel I constantly and almost exclusively straight steer at all speeds, but only as long as I'm on slightly enough throttle to keep the rear just loose enough the bike wants to fall into correct direction and lean so fork straight steers automatically as it follows the road instead of pushing or rather pulling against road surface to help bike lean and rear to steer- w/o sliding or drifting - which eats the snot out of tires and can instant SPLAT me. Counter steer enough on THE Gravel and you'll know for front sure tire is trying to pull bike out from under towards the outside of turn away from intended direction right before SPLAT. Oh you, me can ride pretty good counter steering on loose stuff, up to instant of too loose spot SPLAT. Too unpredictable for me. On pavement and ordinary cycles and ordinary states I'm CS'ing only like everyone else though. So leaving the ordinary behind...
There's a couple ways into this surreal states, one hurts too much with injury yet the other is orgasmic. The orgasm way has two means to enter, one by gleeful aggression punching though barriers the other by crisis recovery or avoidance ie: Nothing to loose punching into insanity. THE Gravel almost broke me of stupid dangerous mc habit and it still might along with all the other hazards. But that's rational world and motorcycles ain't rational if ya really stop and reflect on the blood and guts.
Must put it out of mind or who'd get back in a saddle, so putting it out of mind ...
My trouble with phase 3 and 4 is hesitations in acceleration d/t tire trip down skip outs in 3rd phase and the hi side air time in 4th phase. But no brakes involved so no drag down of total momentum just changing the inertial directions fast as crashing. Not good enough as not as good as it gets with Peel. Btw
A phase change is an energy jump of some material's state of, solid, liquid, gas, plasma and radiant.
Water ski handles should always be pulling hardest through the sharpest turns and so should the grips. THE Gravel has driven me mad mad mad - don't matter how careful ZIP - like hand of God Creator of harsh physical phenomena and the soft creatures it chews up like snot. My Cracker Master forever and ever its bloody slave. Break a rule CRACK! AAWW What THEFFFK, What rule? CRACK!!. NO Fair! CRACK!, Quit it - CRACK !! CRACK! CRACKCRACK! CR.....ACK!!! CrackCRACKkkkk.
I cracked ... and SlaPPed Back at my God THE GRAVEL holding me with fear of death, hit WOT to escape the irrational punishments with irrational reactions of ARRGRESSIVE GLEE. Enlightenment struck but didn't strike me down.
Quantum realm opened up multiple states of being superimposed at once collapsed into reality by the observers wishes. I become one with my God The Cracker Master now just ole slutty stuff like me. This is the realm of sonic tire hysteria, molecular ionic bonding and electric charges of friction and piezoelectric static field on particle and surface repulsion and curves surfaces seeking each others crests while only touching the tops of the rocks impulsing them to bounce harder into surface and be gone spiked on next peaks before they'd reflect the shock waves. Aka best center section traction state within 10% constant slippage so NO LET OFF for Nothing but obstickles higher than the rim hit about dead on w/o nil leaning and front so light its worse than useless as it just plow and rudder into the loose surface giving the chance CRACK!
About the Ton Peel ran out of control spin power then all hell broke loose into ordinary states still carrying the 5th radiant level speed. Thats the crisis path to surreal and not the instant subject. Basically a rolling burn out fish tailing drag race with sweepers and or climb outs only on rear but not leaning it much at all CRACK. The front sure ain't doing anything but very absolute least contact and resistance to the rears thrust, essentially just dolly wheels with just enough dampening it don't jerk out on lump or stone. There's not enough traction to wheelie but its the same sense of my dragster just blistering the rear to keep front floating level yet I never had one instance of it getting out of line if keeping throttle increase matched to stay in 10% best harmonic grip. Going up climbs if over doing it just hesitates acceleration on bee lines but slides off edge if curving or off slant. Climbs are best done in 5th phase but not aimed straight up but cockeyed crabbed, very similar to flat tracker stance but going straight with tire tracks about a hand width apart. It won't stay straight like a dragster fishtailing but found if I let rear get skewed a bit it stops fishtailing but also tends point bike toward edge so front counters that by aiming into the slide some but its slide path is on the low side of the lean 'inside' of wider rear path, til balanced crashing forces nullify to hook up and scoot up almost like level. By throttle alone I control the lean the aim and the acceleration and by golly i am as tight in and centered as one with the spinal tube as things hanging away from CoG pivot point become like a rock on string keeps on swinging. This is like 70+ mph so on peaks of taller stones ok and barely throwing anything behind - cause once the Van der Wall's bonds over come its takes too long to re harmonize to grip again CRRACK, Yes my Master I feel you so deep imprinted forever on humidly and temperature sense to taste before SLapping your Crap back at ya. Wet Gravel is a pussy Cat not worth any thrilling lesions at all with all the charges gone just like ordinary dirt. Peel was not powerful enough to burn through wet Gravel to reach 5th quantum weirdness, soggy toast.
But she could topping out in 1st and 2nd but not enough to beat the other phases on tarmac.
I think the 5th force is the slightly leaned rear traction pushing and lifting whole bike, sorta of like if ya glued the rear to the surface and powered it the bike would swing around but not the tire. i can go in straight on leaned bike then steer it more or less in the direction of the lean w/o changing lean, which ain't much a lean on marbles and arrow heads leaving dust clouds as big as car does. Superimposed on the tendency of spun rear to slide bike lean lower it seems like the crown of tire is seeking its crest on the tops of rocks so pulls bike upward countering the rear spin tripping lower lean Weird weird wonderful. Like as sustained state of suspended low side and hi side as long as the universe continues to expand faster and faster til the power runs out and Daddy took the T-brid away. I think this will translate on pavement with too steep a torque curve as just butt steering on easy to aim rear patch mostly upright starting the black streak at ordinary earliest braking point into a turn grinding its way out wider till lined up with exit while straight steering front slightly out of line inside to aim at exit the rear is thrusting at. It should be a two tire drift that pivots mostly on CoG rather than either end. As long as tires in the 10-ish % best slippage sonic zone the frame is not that loaded, for Peel spike tolerance levels that is, and by time they hook up fully out of there they are excatomondo inline centered on the crowns climbing effect we all love and know as Bee Line Easy Flight. This way gave best slapping to THE Gravel with best ski rope pull w/o let off but is so so insane committed leap of faith. Its as stupid as the moth seeing the moon in a flame.
