"Couldn't that have been easily solved by the detail oriented builder by using an Atlas timing cover?"

I was thinking the same thing. Or you could pull the motor and gearbox, put some dynamite under it and run like hell![/quote]

Well, I’ve never seen an Atlas timing cover that had points in the outer cover and the revcounter drive from the centre of the crankcases :?: :?

The whole "art" thing is funny (strange) because I see a silly feeble attempt at fabrication, the exhaust, for example is a bunch of purchased pre-bent elbows and straights from the McMaster catalog snotted together and chromed. Pa-too. That's steam-punk fantasy and Monster Garage blended. Damned little craftsmanship and not sure how that equates to art. Just my worthlesseveryday .02

I didn't notice that before...can see the seams on the pipe parts...kind of cheezy.

Beats the poop out of either unpainted "patina'ed" pipes and/or heat-wrapped cr@p.

It's interesting to look at for sure, booger welds notwithstanding. But like someone said before, all I can really see is the crooked Norton logo on the timing cover. How can you let something like that go?

5 post out of 38........... you seem very interested interested in this thread.... Sure your not harbouring some inner unresolved ambitions??

He secretly lusts after an extended springer fork and a hardtail for his Yamaha RZ350 as well

Along a similar line, checkout "Phantom Norton" you think those bars would give you a bad back!

I've never ridden a solid frame bike but I've watched a guy in front of me on a hardtail judiciously avoiding every bump/hole he could. If bikes are for riding, can you really stay on one of these for any time without using Preparation H prophylactically?

there is in the UK sometimes local news programs on TV that inform the public of the worse potholed roads that appear to take a long time to get repaired.
You really wouldn’t want to ride a hard tailed bike around here, judging by the amount of pot holes that will give your bum a free shake :!: :(

Love the looks of that bike and bet that it is a lot of fun to ride....To each his own, that's why they make tools....

My tailbone hurts just looking at the picture

Aw shoot not so bad if on the octane of the chemicals and herbs of the chopper rise in popularity.

Mind expanders you say??? Kinda like the Easy Rider movie with Jack Nicholson flapping his arms to "The Bird"?

Life does not make sense to me viruses to people, but to get as hi as ya like as often as ya like and motorcycles are right up there as expensive dangerous wasteful addictive hobby to ride and construct, no holds barred just do what ever ya get away with for as long as ya can. One soul's poison is another food. Some pick what numbs em down or to forget others what opens em up to feel it all to the core and never forget. So part this thing out and start one of you own.

I think you can find more info if you copy and paste the photo properties in and delete everything but the website address...

FWIW from the Chrome browser you can right click on the photo and then chose "Search Google for this image"....will show other sites where it appeared

Ugh that Hunter fucker was out of his mind with a type of pain/anger I recognize - I had nil awareness of Hunter but boring political stuff - till he shot himself and his Sausage Monster write up came up to see my self in his antics and attitude. Its a strange state to exist in, caring aware so dam much till ya just don't care no mo ... I learn't to pull off his RR jump stunt on Ms Peel and looking forward for more, if that makes any sense. I live with impending death all the time, not just from crashes, so each moment is fucking surreal to me - but must be having less pain and more fun than ole Hunter as I've made decision to ride out rest of life after deep talk with .45 cocked in head. If I slip up in life style or on cycles it can onset Cluster-Suicide-Stroke Headache with two levels of Bad, afraid you will die and worse afraid ya won't and then not be able to end it. Safe Journeys.
