Looking for a list of the most powerful non lithium sized YTX14AH motorcycle batteries. Its exceedingly difficult to find information on CCA of any certain sized battery as the advertisers don't sometimes mention the ratings

Why non-Lithium? I have a Shorai Lithium as recommended in my CNW electric start mk2a, and it has been wonderful over the past 5 years or so. It is well over 300cca
I also have the same battery as flatspot that is even older than his and love the way it works. It made me a big fan of LI batteries

For non-lithium, I've had great luck with Motobat AGM's. Last forever, even in off-road riding. Their MBTX14AU is a direct replacement for the YTX14AH, and spec is 250 CCA.

Have you made any changes to the charging system to run a Li battery?
Stock alternator and rotor, then I’m using a solid state regulator and no zener diode. I also have a flashing light device that shows if I’m charging or not, and I also have a voltmeter so I can keep an eye on it that way as well.

A little over a year ago, a lithium battery in one of my modern bikes left me stranded 150 miles South of home. It had a built in fail safe, sort of like a fuse, and died with no warning. I have also heard multiple stories of lithium batteries catching fire. As a result, no lithium for me!

I am a little bit confused as to why you want the strongest YTX14 when Commando's can easily take larger batteries, MY Mk3 has a YTX20CHBS [270CCA] in it [across the frame standard position] earlier 750 & 850's are able to accept YTX20LBS [Length wise mounting]

Its not for a Commando

What is the SHORAI part number so I can check the dimensions - I want to make sure it fits in the MK3 battery tray. Thanks!
