Just fitted the Paul Goff 5k LED bulb... lets just say bright
Along with a super bright BA9s pilot bulb & LED rear lamp board
All "Tell Tale" warning lamps in the headlamp on LED... i recon by power consumption will be quite low:)

Sounds good. Just watch out for signs your zener is being over taxed due to the now greater excess power from the stator. Mine started failing letting the voltages get higher than 15 at 3 to 4k rpm. My battery boiled after a long highway ride. Get a Sparkbright Eclipse charge volt indicator or run a voltmeter etc to keep an eye on things.

I've just fitted a Tympanium reg rec and removed my zener. Fresh lead acid agm fitted. Test riding today.

The cool part is the 5000 lumen LED draws 35 watts, only 13 behind the original lamp. If you’ve fitted a wasted spark electronic ignition then, likely no extra current to dump....
Joule counters please chime in for Boyer VS points consumption...

Fitted them in my Cdo & Rocket III, amazing.
 
Happy to report new tympanium working great on my bike. At 5k rpm the sparkbright still showing green meaning a good voltage below the 15.2 volt overcharge trigger. This was true with or without the led headlamp on.
 
I use a sealed halogen 5006 lamp with no battery (just a podtronics and magneto). Is there an LED upgrade for this?

You'll need a lens. Either the old Lucas prefocus or one that accepts an H4 halogen. LEDS are available for both.
 
Will the LED headlamp blow away the Halogen?

And what LED bulb fits the tail light below?

This looks like the head lamp I need (below). Don't know if it has high and low beam. Only $20 complete from Amazon.

I went with an led brake light that is a flat board with LEDs arranged in an array. These are somewhat better than the bayonet mounted cylindrical type because with LEDs you need better light spread since they tend to be somewhat directional and don't fill the lens space so well got mine from Dynamo Conversions and it was for the lucas commando style rear lamp housing.
 
The LED headlight bulb fitted to my 69 machine was the difference when I travelled back from Germany to Rotterdam last year through the night after my unfortunate encounter with the German police , LED's are the way forward!
