I wasn't too impressed with the dog leg bracket for the S exhaust system from RGM. I should have spent the money getting the original's crack fixed.

Venhill featherlight stainless steel cables with the Teflon no lube liner.
Barnett Kevlar clutch plates
Dyno Dave seal for both the Commando and the 650 SS. Newby clutch in the 650ss would not function without the seal. Now it is perfect.

Thin (.020) head gasket
Akront/ Morad flanged alloy wheels and SS spokes.
530 x ring chain

transferring from the other thread, I had my frame and fork parts powder coated by an outfit in Whangarei. The pom [ sorry English guy ] there was really good. He told me what I needed to do and to take it first to the sand blaster down the road from his workshop [ Port Rd Whangarei ]. He did all the taping off and it came back looking really good, an I hardly had to make any hole bigger [ they were powder coated just right ]. I would certainly recommend them again. He even noticed that the welds on my steering head had been dealt with again. [ I hadn't noticed because it had been done so well ]
My only regret was that I didn't use enough padding under the tank and the f/glass wore through on one of the tubes. Not to worry, I masked it off and dealt with it with a rattle can.

Tickle 2ls front brake plate and getting both my brakes relined by Joe Dunphy, but the green race lining in the front made it a vigorous stopper when cold that I needed to take care every time I started out.

I can relate to that, That sudden snatch was a bit hairy :!: where they AM2 ?

I cannot for the life of me remember, I think there was only AM3 & AM4 at the time, the green ones were made by Ferodo for Taxis and Milk floats :!:

AM4s were the race compound, great for about 4 laps of a 1 1/2 mile circuit....then fade back to the bar......and oh yes...the grabbed when cold....not for road use...

Mine never came back to the bar-ever -even after 10laps of Brand’s Hatch-but as I posted earlier I did have my brakes relined by J. Dunphy, this involved fitting oversize linings and with .020 thou shims between the shoes and brake cam shoes are machined to the Exact diameter of the brake drum, with a chamfer filed onto the leading edges of the shoes to prevent them grabbing (very important :!: )
