How to tell the difference between an P11 speedo and tach and others (atlas)?
I am looking for a halfway decent original P11 Tach to replace a broke one.

The original P11 tach should be an 8000 RPM grey face, with the model designation RSM3003/00, RSM3003/00A, or RSM3003/00B depending on when the bike was made

Should be the same as Atlas. My G15CS - July, 1967 build - has an RSM3003/00A, and my Ranger, October 1968 build, has a 3003/00B

My daily ride today I lost the rev counter.
Rev counter started making a lot of noise and vibrating, needle fell off.
I thought it was the drive cable that was at fault, so I have a new cable.
But it seems that internally some bearing or lubrication has failed.

Here is the Smiths 1966 catalog listing -
So this P11 unit is indeed and the list confirms the rev counter RSM.3003/00A
