Can the original colour be looked up somewhere from the frame number ? Cheers Vaughn.

No, from the dispatch records which are not online, yes.

So who has the dispatch records "Andover Norton " ?
Andover Norton have some.

The Norton Owners club have some.

Some are missing and no one has them.

The information on the records varies a great deal. Some have colours. Many do not.

You would need to search for your exact no to find out what's available for your bike.

Look at these for more info:

Many of the dispatch record have very little useful info and the records kept changing over the years. You might learn the original color of the bike by ordering the record, but often not. It's more important to know what colors were available when your bike was built. Notice I didn't say what year it was built - although I list the colors by year, Norton did not stick to any sort of "Model Year" and made changes when they saw fit.

The Norton Owners Club was able to confirm my early ‘72 roadster’s color. This was original.
