OCTOBER 961 OFFER FROM NORTON......

We paid 21 thou GBP for a Classic, but that has the full carbon pack.
The circumstances of that purchase included a now-or-never motive due to unavailability in the EU.

As of now, if you were to take a pesimistic outlook, possibly the Commando could even be discontinued. Would it be such a surprise? Sure would explain many of the things going on today. It´s not like it´s a supported model (private laugh to myself).
If that is the case and you want it, just get one because it is the last bike of its kind ever and it is actually in production today due to several previously unimaginable coincidences. A relict of how things were in a world were a bike of this spec should not exist from new (for better and worse).
In this, I am saying that regardless of it all, it is still very much worth it.
so thats 25k in USD???

Does appear so ie they're identical to the old Alucast covers, from the old Norton font on the timing cover to the 5mm spacers needed on the sprocket cover (the Indian covers had addressed both of those).

HI Stu , Another question if you don't mind. Are TVS/Norton installing the AOS upside down from the Donington bikes ? I have seen 3 new bikes with the AOS bottom side up so what's going on there ?

I'd not noticed tbh.....but in reality I think the aos should work either way up. It's essentially just a wall for the oil vapour to hit, allowing the oil to fall out of suspension and then drain back when it's given the chance (hence them often struggling on long highways at constant throttle). Shame they couldn't have design such a thing internally to the airbox...instead of having to bodge something from another bike into the space.
In reply to your PM, yeah no doubt its obsolete but a dealer may be able to search other dealers stock, I assume? Or failing that, you have the info to ask a few breakers yards.

So's not to hijack this thread, I have started a new one for information on the breather separator.

£16000 on the road, for a bike with all the bits bar the carbon.... free delivery and free 1st service.
Well I took the plunge and bought a silver Norton sport and traded in my 2016 sport with 10000 miles on the clock. After having a test run at Oakmere motors Northwhich quite surprised at the difference, felt sharper on the handling, brakes and clutch light with no raunching from the clutch on take off. Gearbox slick suspension seemed to soak the bumpy roads. Checked all the exterior nuts and bolts all ok so good build. The fuelling from cold good and warmed up to the tick over very well. Engine warmed up still get the clatter but it might get less with age I can live with that. Have 100 miles on the clock and all ok. 😀
