Just had this email from Norton, very interesting indeed.---------------' Norton introduces finance and roadside assistance ' go to their website for more info.

I see there using the RRP in their finance calculations, not the lower price offered by the dealers.. £2024 difference. If anybody takes up that 1/4 cost up front and pay the rest two years later, with high interest, there gonna be on offer from the dealers in two years, as hardly anyone will pay the huge final payment.

Currently they offer £2,000 discount plus a no-trade in discount of £1,500. So £17,000 becomes £13,500. That’s what I paid for mine direct from the Norton factory.

Are you saying a brand-spanking new Norton is £13.5k?! Wow.

What model/spec if you don't mind me asking?

Seems Norton has added roadside assistance for Solihull bikes inside of the warranty period. Gotta be a plus. Similar setup to Triumph.

Can't believe that TBH. Numbers don't lie though....looking at the DVLA registrations they haven't sold many

I think they’ve sold way more than might have been expected of an interim model, before Norton bring out their new bikes.

They’ve certainly sold many (many) times more than previous projections on this site🤣!!

I suppose, on reflection, when you compare it to other brands it's quite good actually. Mate has a Thruxton and they are similar numbers

Are those DVLA figures for the first two or three quarters of this year?

If you look at other more mainstream models, those in the larger / more expensive range don't sell as many as you may think in the UK.

That’s more TVS 961s sold than I thought too 👍

Just for perspective however, it is worth noting that Triumph are discontinuing the Thruxton due to (what is for them) low sales volumes.
