Norvil rear isolastic question

I am assembling a MK2a that came in boxes and I bought the Norvil vernier kits for the isolastics. When I installed the rear kit, I end up with about a 2mm gap between the adjuster and the end of the cradle tube. Is this correct? I snuggled down the non- adjustable side so it bottomed out but there is not enough threads on the adjusting side. Thoughts?
