Can anyone supply a link or photo sequence on the adjustment sequence required for newly installed rear Isolastic's ?
I set the clearances a .006 after installation but now that they are "under load" I need to tweak them into a good starting point. After installing the engine things are a little tight when trying to insert the feeler gauge, at least at this point.

Thanks for the help.

Should ideally be .010" with the nuts tightened to 25 ft/lbs according to the manual. .006 might be a little tight.

The way I set the gap on adjustable isolastics is nip up the adjuster and then loosen it off as per the recommendation usually 1.5 holes, I then insert my 6 thou feeler gauge and tighten the big through bolt to 25 pounds torque and then lever the motor or if its the rear lever the cradle/swing arm over and check the feeler gauge. If it will not move I loosen the bolt again and turn out the adjuster, retighten and check again. Repeat this until you can obtain the correct gap. I like a gap of 6 to 8 thou or if you like go to 10 thou.

As you lever the engine from each side, looking for say .010" with cross bolt tightened, are you trying to achieve that gap on both sides?
I was assuming that was a "split" measurement equaling .005" on each side?

Total clearance is 10 thou split between both sides until you push over, you will never get 5 thou on both sides. I use 6 to 8 thou as a good compromise between handling and vibration.
