Hello ,how many Nortons did they produce in 1946 ? I have a 16H that starts wit A2 14XX ? Any production numbers for 16hH ? Thanks Tom

The Norton booklet sez they made 5550 bikes in 1946, commencing with 1001.
They would be 16H and Model 18, no idea of the mix, don't think there were any Big4's that year.

There were of course quite a number of civilianized 16H coming onto the market,
and the magazines of that era were full of all manner of parts for them, ex-WD,
engines in crates for a few quid, pistons carbs magnetos, etc etc etc.

Do you know the history of your bike ?

Thanks for the info, I don`t know the history of my bike other than the last 10-15 years !
I am sure that it is imported to Finland as a used bike because after the war the first new British came in 1951
and 1952 to the Helsinki Olympics !
They also got 3 or 4 brand new Harley panheads 1952 and today we talk abot the Olympics Harleys .
They wanted to show the world that we had money ;)
