One of these showed up at a bike show I just attended out in Chilliwack Bc (near Vancouver). I talked with the owner, a young guy from Newfoundland. He works on the oil rigs there.
He just picked it up on Friday, just 200 miles on it, loves it of course. He also has a fully restored 74 850.
A total of 3 961s were just delivered to British Italian MC s in Vancouver, the other two were spoken for, all paid for about 2 years ago. The one he bought, a Yellow Cafe Racer, was ordered about then as well but the original buyer got tired of waiting and asked for his money back some time ago. I guess Brit/Italian kept the order in knowing it would not be hard to sell the bike.
Price was 23k cdn including an optional exhaust system, not sure how it varies from the standard.

Lovely bike up close, all high end components, Brembo, Ohlins etc.
Thinking about it, will see if they get ahead of the game and have some in stock at some point, or at least can truly promise a reasonable wait time, maybe six months.

No picture - the url link is there, but empty.
Or is it to a generic 961 pic

Sounds promising - things iz happening !

Not sure how that url got there!
No, I didnt get a photo, but it is good to know the bikes are being delivered, even to little backwater places like Vancouver BC!
The only disappointment for me is the sound. While it has a nice sound, it is more Ducati than Norton Commando, no doubt a function of the crankshaft(270 degree?)
