Looks like it'll make your boys go numb.

Very pretty Commando, otherwise.

A Corbin seat is hard, shaped well and surprisingly comfortable. But it demands rearsets and lower bars, at least from my experience.

If you think you've tipped the apple cart just wait until I admit to giving an after market speedo a shot because I just don't see why I should give away so much for a Smith....Perhaps I'll get it rebuilt, but until then I need to know how fast I'm going.
I like your Norty. Nice machine even though it's not black & gold it's still a beauty.

i make no claims my bike is 100% original numbers matching no aftermarket parts none of that sort of thing I built it from rusted frame upwards to what I wanted and liked 60% new parts 40% gently used or aftermarket

I am sure that seat with a bit of fettling will look like a Corbin, just needs to be dropped a bit front and back.

Alan, it's a fine looking seat to go with your fine looking bike. Can't wait for more pictures!

aint no north or south Vietnam it's one country .remember that fuss they had over yonder back in the 1960s?

Up until May ‘75, not just the 60s.
The value of a seat is in the materials and ergonomics. I’m not convinced a Corbin feels that good to me.

I’m likely going to try one of these seats. Probably the same company as above.

I assume you mean to try one of these seats on the interstate you are shipping in from the east coast. I'm interested in seeing how it looks. I know a person's eye gets trained by seeing something over and over. When I look at the texavina seats they don't have the molding around the bottom edge of the seat. I wonder if I'm so used to seeing that feature on stock seats that it effects my perception of these seats. On my jobs I tell my customers that although it takes an expert to make something well, once it's finished you don't need to be an expert to judge the aesthetics. If it looks good, it's good...

“Free Bird” just started on Sunday morning oldies Radio , what a great intro ......

I really miss the old King Biscuit hour and all of the good stuff on it. So many great songs from the sixties I never hear any more....being in my teens & running wild was absolutely great...WTF happened?

Fity years, that what happened .... still get to laugh with my lifelong buddies that chose to stay around here as I did ... just not as often or as long .... went for a ride yesterday with my across the road neighbour , I mentioned 1974 something and he say he was 3 then .... wow no wonder I let him go first I got almost 20 yrs on him .... once on road we pretty much equal though , he got me in curves I own the straights ..... got to love hp as we age ....in early/mid 70’s we could tune into Wolfman Jack out of ABC NYNY at night on car am radios here in NS , kinda exotic for us backwoods folk to listen to his show , there was some beer emptied cruisin’ and boozin’ ,not proper now of course but fun at the time ,eh ..... cost a lot of lives in the end ..... almost the end of me couple of times before I learned ..... my “Best Man” lives in nursing home as a result of booze fueled mishap on checker board curve up on CBI ..... now back to Alan’s seat , I think it will turn out proper and excellent !

how this look?
main issues were bracket slots needed powder coat removed and the studs the brackets bolted to on pan were too long so out came the dremel so now can sit fully on shock bolts and the foam pad is in the trash..rode 50 miles this morning seat felt great fit my arse just right not too soft or hard...wife said 'alan I hate that new seat makes your bike look like a crotch rocket old one looks better is old school'...……...sheesh
new seat

Looks great ah. In the end of all parts of the body the arse is king of the roost. If those fellas could hand the Chinese, Frenchies, & US their asses they can surely build a seat.
At that price /looks gonna have to give that serious consideration.

The seat looks good. But it's too tight to the tank! It might rub your paint! ;)

I'd be interested in a report after some mileage as to how your ass feels. Next is how well it holds up over time. I find it ironic that I care how my seat looks when I can't see it while riding.

PS - interesting arrangement on the rear turn indicators. Can we get a closer look?

The seat looks great mate
Is it comfortable?

feels great …...my arse is for sure king of the rear end of me....had a radical excisional hemorrhoidectomy two summers ago now Old Zero rules! will take pic of blinkers shortly...…….Put the Champion N4G plugs in for ride this morning bike ran turbine smooth

All good Alan ! .... bikes and women share lots of similarity that for sure , specially old bikes .... fix one thing and you get another complaint .... I see the gold bars are gone , what up with that , I thought they were nice

Thanks for the close up view. Clever. Now that you have that nice custom seat, I'd be tempted to invert those so that the indicator hung below the frame tube. Having those forward gives them good separation and keeps the tail light clean looking.
