New Interstate Pipes

The previous pipes were pretty rough. One side had broken, probably under the weight of the previous Dunstalls. I finally got around to ordering some more from someone in the club who ordered from JRC. Not sure who the manufacturer was. They are pretty good quality and the left side fit perfectly. The right side took some “encouragement”. I’ve tightened them twice now after getting them hot and may have one or two more sessions. But then I don’t expect them to come loose. The mufflers had been replaced a while ago and still look good.

Did you get anywhere with the Mustang project before the sun came out again a begged you to ride you Norton? ;)

I sold the 67 project and got a 65 instead. It still needs work, just a lot less work!

Yep, meant the '65. Classic muscle cars are another abyss to throw your money into. I have a 65 El Camino. The receipt pile is 3 inches thick. I never add them up. My Norton pile is close, but still a few dollars behind the El Camino based on the receipt stack height.

Thanks for all the youtube videos you and Mike put together regarding tearing into the Norton engine. Makes things easier to see somebody else banging away at the old Norton lump.

For this kind of stuff I put together a rough budget at the beginning and then promptly ignore it. It's hobby, similar to entertainment. Do you save all your movie theater receipts to make sure you had as much fun as you spent? Of course not.

Motorsports is a great hobby. Can't put a price tag on a challenge met. I save the receipts for the next owner.

Are there still movie theaters? I spend 90% of my time in the garage or yard. The rest of my time trying to stay married. ;)
