Too late nowThat and I would get it rebalanced after the fastener changes just for peace of mind. Maybe I'm over thinking it though.

Never too late. More wrench time, more money, and some machinist part's jail time though. Could be fine. I'm not a crankshaft flywheel expert.Too late now
Looking forward to seeing your timing side mounted alternator mod…
Good eye. I installed the crankshaft both ways just to see if there was any alignment problems when i flipped the crank halves. Not a precision check for sure, but both ways seem to fit and rotate without any issues. I just happened to check the end play with the drive on the timing side (i didn't even realize that's the picture i took LOL). More, funner problems to follow....Looking forward to seeing your timing side mounted alternator mod…
2S cam. Anything else is not stock for that engineStock?
Stock as in keeping the stock Combat cam (2S)… or fitting a ‘stock‘ Commando cam ?
Cool!2S cam. Anything else is not stock for that engine
The pistons and rods are not stock, but i don't believe they change the CR. Valvetrain is new OEM
I got a 20T gearbox sprocket. Not sure if that will tame it much tho. Guess i'll find out (if i can successfully get it put back together )It’ll definitely be more hot-rod than tourer or cruiser.
I do have all those parts for the build except the FA head. I'm getting older every minute. Might as well spend it while I'm still breathing.Yeah, the JS cam has a nicer (flatter) profile, but i believe you need to use BSA lifters which necessitates his lifter blocks and push rods. The BSA lifters are a lot lighter so it's a nice package, but $$$$ when you include the cam, lifter blocks, and push rods. I decided the lightweight pistons were enough for this build. Full tilt would be also going with a lightweight valve train. But why stop there, get the Full Auto head with the larger valves
