So way back when I knew a guy who was working on this film. He knew had a Norton or knew Norton people so he asked if anyone had a bike they would loan for the movie. No one I knew would so they found another one.

The owner of the bike passed away and the director, Gus Van Zant, now owns it. He is going to have it completely restored.

It's a 20M3S, so a 1971 Points on Timing Cover model.

I could be wrong, but isn't that Keanu Reeves in the pilot seat. From what I have read he is a Norton owner for real.

Yes, and River Pheonix on the back.

I'd always figured that was one of Keanu's own bikes used in the film. Seems it isn't.

Well, that description explains why I've never seen (or even heard of) that movie.
I'm usually attracted to movies with: Explosions, Car Chases or Topless Women.

note: a film with all three of the above has the best chance of holding my interest.
