I did a rather extensive search after bending mine to bits as the result of a low speed collision. Madass is one of the few (only?) fabricators around for the 850 Mk3... Had I not found a local welder to repair mine I would have gone with him.

Otherwise, occasionally you see them on e-bay. Most all other sources seem dry.

Cheers, Will

I recently acquired a set of used MK3 rear sets. When I test mounted them on the bike, the inner edge of the brake pedal was grazing the kick start.

Were the MK3 rear sets designed to run without a kickstart? Or do I need to heat and bend the brake pedal arm to clear the kickstart?

Michael, interesting mod, does it affect the max lean angle you can get, with the std footrests with warm tyres I regularly scrape the footrest rubbers on the tarmac, running 19" wheels, std suspension so no lowering other than the rear shocks on lowest pre load.

Hi there Madass. Great skills. Do you still have these available? If so, may I ask how mush you are asking? I am inthe U.K. - I am assuming you are happy to ship here?

What is the feedback you nhaev had? Specifically, are any changes to stock handlebars desirable? I am 6' 6" and looking for taking the strain off my lower back that the standard pegs give from having my feet placed too far forward and up.

Lastly, any pictures of the rearsets fitted?

Many thanks

Hey there Guido64, I'm not anywhere near as tall as you are but I have been wanting to purchase a set of Don's (madass140 here on the forum) rear sets for my mk3 ever since he began a thread here on the forum a while back, about looking into the prospect of making them. The quality of the products I have bought from him in the past, was top notch and these look to be of the same high quality. Also he is straight forward and honest to deal with, so that's another plus. IMHO

had very good feedback on these, cant comment on the handlebars. US$440 + shipping which depends on your post/zip code and city.
still some stock left.

Thanks for the reply guys, and the photos

They look the job. One query - any issues with the right foot between footrest and brake pedal with the kickstarter where it is? Particularly when the foot is booted up - difficult to tell from the picutre, but there doesn't look like a lot of space.

I have Don's (Madass) rearsets on my MkIII. Beautiful fit and comfortable in combination with a Corbin seat and UK bars. Only issue is the kickstarter can rub on your leg and the rubber footrests moved in a circular fashion (not sliding off). I just put a fine stainless split pin through them on the inner side. I have not touched down the pegs yet unlike the originals.

Don puts out a real nice product. The seating position is much better for me with the rearsets. I had the same problem with the footrest rubbers rotating and sliding off, so I took my old passenger rubbers and a belt sander to make a new set. Drilled and tapped the ends of the stalk to stop them from sliding. I plan on using some sort of glue to stop them from rotating, right now I have golf club grip tape holding them in place. They seem to work fine.

Don - it has been a while as life has intervened. However, recovery underway and I wonder if you still have any rear sets I can purchase?
