The former owner to the right and Dan C. looking into the boxes that came with the bike. Don't they all come with boxes?

More later as we proceed. Waiting for promised packages.

Do you mind sharing what all went on inside the lower lump?

...and who did the work?

Looking very spiffy and clean so far!

If you have the Patience every detail is covered on the list in the other thread see "Michigan Norton Owners".

I update that list weekly with parts and build milestones. It's right after the letter. Thanks for your encouragement Paul. So far Dan C. is the build leader but Wayne S. is the man who did the frame repair and got Doug to do a lot of work finishing. The all time champ for hours logged so far is Dale C. our polisher a tireless dynamo.

The triple trees look great. Hoping we get some more detailed info on them and the painting. These look to be the right color so that's why I'm curious. (Most restorations don't get it right and I include myself in this. The paint has to be very tough too.)

A special mix from our powder coat guy Doug K. he has some other surprises in store. That will make this bike a little nicer than stock.

The bike is on it's pins.

Well folks The bike had it's coming out party today it still needs just a few things foot pegs ING switch grab rail. But good enough for a showing. Hope you all enjoy this as much as we all did building a bike as a group has been fun. Thanks to all that helped with donated parts and money. And the core of workers who spent many long hours.

This is even better than I imagined it wold be! You guys have done an AWESOME job. I'm so proud to have had the opportunity to meet you guy's. So happy you were the one's who called on the bike. It's an incredible transformation and for such a wounderful cause. Please let me know when you have the event for the bike, Gaylord and I would be honored to be there. Simply wounderful job guy's. Much Love Tami

Ron, Page two of the list on this thread second item: michigan-norton-owners-t3141.html
A man named Chris Phillips did the paint work. All the donors are listed there.
Paul, We had to re-chrome the old foot peg bodies as the ones sent on to us were for an earlier year bike. It's just the 3/8 pegs that we need now. That and a new ING switch.
Above see the post by "Tam" sold us the old bike that we started with thanks Tam glad you like it.

Guys, this is too kewl...
We all share a love of these fine machines,
and I wish mine were only so sweet (not likely, but the intent is there)
But this is so much more.
Humanity, community, brotherhood, love and respect.
You and your sponsors are the best.

Keep the the rubber on the ground!

Don
