Or did you type wrong and it should have been 9/16-18 UNF or 7/16-20 UNF.

Quite funny if they used an american thread on a U.K. bike.

No it will be Cycle, the cycle thread was not always 26 TPI, on the larger sizes 20 TPI was an option and I have seen it used on BSA's, Triumphs and of course Norton's.

UNF and UNC are 'American' thread forms, and there are many of those used on Commandos.

9/16 inch x 20 should make it CEI (Cycle UK) thread.

Hi guys

Thanks for the info, guess I wont find a tool for that at work :lol:

Then I will just have to buy a Clutch rod seal, it is just that I
really enjoy making things myself and getting it work.
