Longer Kickstart lever

I want a longer kick start lever. Anybody know how long the Proddy racer lever is
compared to the stock 850?
The T160 type wont work for me due to using a reverse shift lever on a TTI box.
Using a late type kicker which clears everything but being on the underweight
size really could use some help in the leverage department.

By T160 type does that mean you have looked at the RGM folding one? I is advertised as the longest i believe an when i looked into it on their website last year it did somewhere give details of the other types an lengths that may be pf help to you if you have not already seen it.

I bought the RGM T160 lever and found it not any longer than the MK3 lever I bought back in the 90's for my 850 Mk2a which may be a pattern part, but I needed a kick start lever for the 750 I fitted it and the Mk3 will be rechromed.

RGM list the lengths of their kickers, one is 3/4" longer I think which hardly seems like it would matter.
The MkIII lever is fine in every way but length. I suppose I might have to bite the bullet and cut and weld.
Hate to do that on such and expensive piece though.

The extra 3/4" did make a difference for me, going from the stock Mk 2, to the longer Mk3.

And If I were gonna cut and weld for even more length, I'd be looking for something less expensive, save the nice one for the next guy who weighs more...

I've done it. - Cut and welded the kick. It went very well and I'm very happy.
I have a rebuild 850 with a compression at 9.2, and gaplees rings from J.S. so it was hard to kick. I had to do something, I had given up my E. starter, after many attempts.
I cut it 2-3 cm. under the top and insert a piece of 50 mm. about In the middle of the right upper part. After welding I grinded and brushed this nicely and got it re. nickle plated.
It is not visible that such a welding job has been done. I am very pleased with this.
50 mm. seems to be absolutely perfect, it has never been so easy to start. I do not miss the periods I had E-starter.

I can only start my commando with my left leg nowadays because of a knee problem
I dug out an old kick start and extended it by 90 mm
It works fine for me and hopefully will be temporary
