Any one know the cam follower cup radius, push rod location , I am making a set of new followers, and looking for the correct ball end cutter.

Might mic a push rod ball end or chill a lifter spritz wd40 and melt wax cast in, slice off even dump out on a fine ruler.

English translation please?

Duh, Paul, take a measure of the ball the cup is to fit or take a cast of the cup the ball is to be made to fit. Depends on the accuracy - to take direct cup measures with a tool that's pointed enough not to arc over the radius full depth. Is 3/16" the name of the cup size like wrenches rod end eyes or the actual radius to mill to?

" chill a lifter spritz wd40 "

Thats the bit that got me ??????????

I work with Kazak Russian speakers and I can understand their English -- but whats a spritz?

I thought maybe a shortened name for a drink?

A sprit is a spar on a sail boat

And a sprite is a fairy, elf or goblin

But a spritz ??? :-)

Spritz = squirt or short spray

"chill a lifter COMMA spritz (of) WD-40 COMMA..."

Otherwise, could indeed be interpreted as a little-known bartending trick...

Ok - so some connection to the drink ?

Southern US terminology :-)

I'll bet you all would be confused by the Russians describing machinist measure procedures instead of them just ordering drinks all around. The problem with folks like me is there's soo many words, phrases, thots. impressions and pictures flying around inside and outside skull - its hard to grab the ones that fit the sentence and punctuate.

I've some loose push rods and can mic them if 3/16" is not close enough. Ken Canaga's side line shop specialty is making up custom push rods.

Can't wait to see the look in the eyes of a Vodka soaked Russian on first swig of un-tax stamped stuff.

Info please

Ah huh!

I should post my favourite photo from the local supermarket.

Four solid metres of three shelves high vodka !! I couldnt get he other two metres on the other side of the aisle in the photo !!

Taking the long way to get to a single point is so entertaining and enlightening to the nature of the characters encountered along the way.
