Hi all, I have 2 pairs of forks shown below, can anybody help in identifying them please. both are 41mm, the taller pair with out brakes are about 950/975mm tall. the second pair with the gold callipers are 800mm tall. hope somebody can help as I would like to use a pair but need to know what wheels, discs etc were on them. I would like to put spoked wheels in. cheers Neil

First pair look like Kawasaki zx7,zx9 forks; not inverted, but with lower casting that mimics inverted forks. Fork tops and adjusters look very similar to my old ZZR 1200, although I think those were 43mm tubes.

I've installed ZX7 AND ZX9 forks on Commandos, and they are true inverted forks, not like those.

I think they would need the YEAR clarified if what you say is true.

Here is a 1990 ZX7R with conventional forks. By about 1994 they had gone to inverted forks. The ZX9 was a little later to that party, not getting the inverted forks until the early 2000s, like maybe 2003 or '04.

Honda CBR 900RRs also came with a conventional fork who's lower casting mimics an inverted unit, but it looks a little different.

thanks for the info, I am starting to think about forks for my mettisse project. I have these or original 79 t140 forks, I have a new triumph hub and I do want a disc on the front. will post some update photos soon
