Can anyone identify the maker of this rear set

Yup the NYC are further back which too bad for me cause dang they look good but that position I'm sure won't work for me I'll be running low 2.5 rise bars .

DIY rear sets I'm still thinking that would be cool to mod the stock length units into the tad further back and just flip the shifter .
Sorry - my bad on NYC - I obviously haven't been keeping up to date!
Cheers

Have replaced the shoes on the rear with the 'soft' RGM offerings they do seem to help. But as far as Im concerned the rear brake is pretty weak. No doubt some of this is due to the cable actuation v a rod like on BSA Tri later models. My T150v rear drum really
is quite effective and surprise , surprise, my Enfield Series 2 has the best rear brake of all ( although it weights more than the average small automobile!)

Outer support washer?

The stepped inserts (spigots into the cradle and the stand then pivots on the outer portion that extends slightly further outward than the thickness of the stand mount lugs)) has a large washer.
The stand lug then sandwiches between the cradle and that washer each side with a built in clearance.

Front brakes do all the work, the rear brake is there to slow the rear wheel down, but using both front and rear the brakes work pretty good, I never over work my rear brake as I say they are there to slow the rear wheel down but having the stock long rear brake pedal I can still lock up my back brake if I need to but as I say your front brake is the work horse of all braking and always good to have a front brake system that works, one of the reasons I upgraded my whole front brake system, just take a good look at the stock disc brake on the Norton, not much pad, crappy front disc and a MC that the bore is to big, might have been good back in the 70s when less traffic, not today, money well spent upgrading to a system that does stop, love my Grimica set up but there are so many new upgrades on offer these days and my stock rear brake works quite well with my front brake set up.
The problem with rear sets the brake peddle is so small and don't have the leverage like the stock peddle does, as well a cable operated brake not good really, but can set up a rod system if need to and that way won't get cable flex.

Thinking build my own might be the way to go, simple just cut shift side stock Norton mount weld mount to position an market knurled peg the proper distance necessary to run a reverse mounted shift lever, done easy peasey.

Brake pedal side same as shift sift side just cut and weld peg to same position , but then the bloody brake pedal that looks a tad challenging . brainstorming for a way tio my the brake pedal work hmmm.

And a folding kicker should work well and look well.

The famous 'Mighty Garage is a member here (but forget his name, you could send a PM asking SwooshDave) and could no doubt ask the owner/keeper of that lovely 750.

Those rear sets look very tidy and kept to the minimum.
If y'all could learn how to @ I would have seen this sooner.

@swooshdave

Do you still want me to get the rear sets details? @Jackman

Swooshdave yes that would be very helpful if you know the details of the rear sets .

I may make my own but the ones in the video look very nice so a buy might be a better idea.

Thanks!!!

I’ve always wondered about long term wear of clevis pins and rose joints. Doesn’t a link defeat the purpose of Norton’s isolated drivetrain albeit to a small degree?
I love the cNw rear sets (pricey) but would miss the original Z plates and the option of a pillion. I tried the Norvil set but hated the awkward angle and the Norman Hyde sets give a ridiculous angle to the kick lever (although I could go without it thanks to Alton).
Homemade seems the way to go for me but some of the machinists here would put my work to shame….
I recall a beautiful set but it may have had rose joints. The maker has passed on. Norton Nuevo?

The pins might wear at some point but not the rose joints. Just how long do you plan on living?

The rear sets on George's bike (in the Cul de Sac video) were made by Kenny Dreer in very, very small batches. So not much chance of finding some laying around.

Have you looked at the RGM rear sets?
