I have read all of the post concerning problems caused by notches in the clutch center, but being relatively new to Commandos, am not sure what would be considered 'bad.' My 75 Mk3 has some notching and other wear marks, but I am not sure if these are serious. The clutch has some peculiarities... hard to upshift and downshift (but only sometimes) and challenging to find neutral (but not impossible), but it stays in gear and doesn't seem to be slipping. The clutch pull is not 'one finger', but it is also not overly hard. Since I just can't seem to stop fiddling with things, I thought I'd try to make the clutch a bit more user friendly. Here are some pics of the notches. The second pic shows the deepest notch. So my question is: based on what you can see in the pics, are these notches and wear marks going to create problems? Thanks in advance for any insight.
