Don’t you listen to the naysayers, Hobot. You keep right on working on your project. This forum wouldn’t be nearly as fun without you, and given the parameters you have set for the bike and the goal of over 175 mph top speed, you would most likely kill yourself on the first few runs anyway. This I would not like to see, so, keep drilling and designing.

Just don’t take the bike for a serious test run without checking with us first.

Besides, let’s be honest. Your first, and only true love is Trixie. You can flirt with the flashy blond all you want, but it’s Trixie who will always be there, waiting for one more ride on the gravel back roads of Arkansas

Say What Matt?
Anywho outrigger with counter pressuring by counter rotation alternator friction drive as a back up to Al clutch basket are Peel features being incorporated for more easier flight time. Crash cage is coming along mocked up in PVC tubing in triple triangulated stiffness that turns out besides making Peel almost deer and crash proof stiffen ups frame weak points too. I'm still waiting to hear how fun it is to wind up a frame so far it sling shots a bike in new direction the instant you over power tire or winding up power so harsh into corners any lean off vertical trips it right out, but then hooks right back up like a wheeling dragter in new direction on WOT. Practice this in tighter sharper quarters than those street racers can drive one bezerk. I find doing that on balloon tires makes the bike walk around on their big baddly shaped edge patches while hard aired skinny tires slice and dice accurate like ice sakes. Fairing lowers cover engine view so a hole and clear plate to go.

Missed over you post Dia, but 175 would take special event sprocket, I just want to smoke tires up to 160 and break under 10 sec 1/4, but that just that boring stuff other bikes seek to specialize in, Peels niche is handling hi G's in turns on and off pavement.

Understood. Just check with us before trying it, ok?

Holy Hobot! You do have a hole saw so I know you have a few holes in your head! I say it with love pal but you done bumped yo head!

Just a Tirade for the ' wotsa outriga bring brigade.

Mk 3 Trans is a uprated unit , according to Hoyle .

Yeah , 21 teeth = 120 odd mph , so 30 1/2 teeth for 180 odd , or change back sprocket .
Might pay to put a high tensile axle in there too .

looking at the Kwikersaki 900 record daytona run , they flogged a BSA / Tri F-750 fairing , and ran 160 mph .
This means a worked triple on triple 30 Concentrics has more power than a Z1 , as its faster .

However , the fact its a overweight dunger & flexiflyer may confuse the issue .
Nevertheless its said the one 74 bike they built had 74 Hp & 174 MPH .
The last works trident , that is . These , bored & stroked with 32 mm carbs , produce ' More ' .

RIGHt , WHERE does that leave US , The 96 odd ZXR 1100 fairing is a dead ringer for a F-750 Norton one .
155 mph on 74 odd horsepower . Therefore ' WE ' need ' More ' than 74 HP ,however , as youve bigger pistons ,
bigger carburators , and Bigger Holes in the HEAD  , there may well be ' sufficiant ' for your aims .

Daytona may well be the place to find out , or Talladega , or Bonneville though . They keep the Deer Off , as a rule .

Its obvious these young whipperschappers havd read ' tuneing for speed ' , Holey motorcycles are a renowned Tradition .
If its not fast enough , Drill Holes in it . Youve got to start somewhere .

Yes sir I've a box of hole saws and a case of drill bits with like half a dozen bits of each size. As for holes in my head the unnatural ones have healed over, from the outside. More than once while working on peoples skulls I've had them recoil with impression of past life's being trephined/trepanned, usually by me. I was flattered of course. Reading the Tibetan 3rd eye surgery sure had its appeal back when and still does. Hollow has its benefits you know as most the brain is just a filter blocking out the good stuff. damhik.

Photo's of holes in frame - yet to post as still adding more.

Matt, Ms Peel calc's out more like a 1500 cc torque power plant and weight will definitely be under 350 lb and have big bullet fairing, big thick solid axle and a changeable rear sprocket plus suspension tuck down below factory stance at either end. Best chance to test top end will be one of the Mile long sprint events. Going by examples Ms Peel has a chance.

At base life is just a flash in the pan so what state of mind or G forces do ya want to spend as much of it in as ya can? I'm told there's life after life by some but also that if ya do it right once is enough.

hehe Ms Peel is missing more that a bowel full of mass holes and I can take a dump too before a contest. It bites my ass that I have to put on a serious crash cage but for sure know i"m going to hit deck again so having to add back some mass and welded braces on frame. I am holding off drilling them till I see what I may want to mount on it.

Did I ever mention Ms Peels axles are 1/3 drilled out centers too?

Ok I am stupid, but could someone explain the purpose of the outrigger other than it looks cool?

This was originally done on the NV J. Player racers when the gearbox layshaft kept bending and g/box bearing kept breaking on their bikes, due to extra horsepower on works 750 engine hence this was their solution

Some added hard point plates that got a bit more taken off once welded on so taking up a lot of holes I just can't help myself pulling the trigger on.

Someday may restore the lost bad taste drilled webshots but found some notes that rats and bugs didn't eat with numbers on a ventilated '72's battery tray.

Intact tray = 1119.2 grams = 2.46741 lb
rubber mat = 62.22
combined = 1181.45 = 2.60465 lb
drilled tray = 1002.40 = 2.20991 lb
holes - mat = 179.05 g, = 0.394628 lb shaved off on 1st round of Peel's pairing down.

No way to convey the trips and adventures past Peel lead me on. Drilling needs lead me to interested hillbilly whose dad had decent shop & bits so we drill pressed half a bucket metal worms out before his father chased me off using up the sharpness. I did the battery tray at home with couple of bits, while my friend developed brain aneurism to end up half skull removed then passed away couple years ago a few yrs after his father. He was the one who introduced me to the real natives telling them not to throw me to the hogs if found around exploring on cycles and close nieghboor my best buddy hung out with. Was fun while it lasted and of course none of the drilled parts or even oil tank with extra qt of oil remains in next Peel.
