Head Lamp

Now that winter is upon us, I can do little more than stare at my 2014 Sport. I have noticed that my head lamp is slightly different than any I've seen on the internet; it is solid black with no silver trim, and has a more traditional tapered shape. Did Norton change the head lamp in 2014?

I never really noticed. However, you may be on to something.
I have read a few posts on the UK NOC 961 site from members who claim that the headlight shells on their 961's developed large cracks and had to be replaced. Pehaps Norton are now sourcing their headlight shells from another supplier.

That would make sense. It's painted black tin, and probably is not susceptible to cracking.

Hello , NO this is not new . It is the Domiracer headlamp Shell. This shape is like the Lucas shell used in older Brit bikes. Which I prefer .

My Sport is a Sept 2014 model and it is silver rimmed.

Also it didn't crack when I recently chucked it down the road....

I purchased my Sport from Gold Coast in December. The solid black shell does have a real classic look.

I also picked up in December 2014. At MCC Chicago. Three Nortons the others went St Louis and Colorado Springs. They all had the Headlamp shell like the Domiracer. Im in Milwaukee.
