hi all
does anyone have a cpuple of close up pics of the correct routing for the cables and brake lines as ive just bought a set of lower rise standard spec bars and need to see the best way to run the cables
The front brake hose seems the worst bit at the moment
thanks
Matt

No photos handy right now. Check the Commando photo section and might glance some.
Basically as each bar height and tilt varies w bike/rider ya route them best ya can with least bends and fouling. Brake hose is compromised to aim down yet clearing the yoke and bars. Twis m/c on bars for best hand reach, then re-do if hose rubbing. Lower hose on some can go about straight shot to the stand pipe but on my Combat its a bit too long so does a LH dog leg to take up slack before aiming as caliper. Got to keep the delicately attached brake light leads in mind too. My throttle cable runs way out in air in front of fork leg then aims back into tank/frame gap through yoke clutter. Clutch cable goes down right against my fork leg, inside of headlight ear behind headlight. Check full fork motion effects on each of these routes and bouncing on forks, which mostly dictates best routing. Clock cables are best aimed to line up as dead on their fittings as practical. Trickier routes are behind the stem.
