And don't forget that time moves on , a lot of us are 'aging out' as they say. I haven't even started the Norton in almost a year, not even moved it. I ride less and am inclined to ride less. Still get in some garage time mostly with my old Enfield Interceptors. Increased traffic, lots more speed limits and worse, speed cams, make riding a lot less fun. I turned 75 yesterday and recently fell walking the dog and hurt my ribs. When this will heal is anybody's guess but one more reason not to ride. It will always be something or a pile of somethings.
That said I am not yet tossing in the towel but you can see how it goes.

...as they say, at our age it's one body part after the other saying "Huh, you think that's good? Watch this!!"

Yes its unfortunate Greg went, very nice person and I hope he will be back sometime, we chatted and I know why (miss him) - Greg when you see this, hope all is well.

I live near Jim and we keep in touch and go and grab a burger every now and then. I can report he is well (I will stay reserved about the reason he left, but I know why! I am very happy to have him as a friend).

I know- I am only 65. Riding as much as possible. My back hurts, but will never stop until forced too. Thank goodness for starter motors. I got quite a lot of time left, I hope. I have trouble starting my 750, even with the RGM nice kick start. Well actually I can start if fine, but am in pain later. My A10 starts on half a kick, so that's ok. I am in middle rewiring MK3 and will be done very soon- Thank god for Mk3s as well! I am gifting my 750 to my nephew, just got to figure out how to get it to Aussie. I think I am ready to restore an old plodder- still looking for a basket case ES2 or B33 in the US.

I just dealt with the scammer (user: plaincord) who was reported. Thanks for letting me know. I have been travelling to NZ to see my mum and sis who live here, so was a bit delayed. Long long flight from Colorado! Also, going to have a few bevys with Murray here, my friend from NZ owners club leader.

Have a great day everyone. Hope you are out riding if weather permits.

Jerry

Too bad you couldn't make the Hawkes Bay rally. It was...interesting.

But the riding was very nice.

That would have been fun
My sister who is mums care giver is going to Aussie to see her son. So I got to help take care of elderly mum and dog sit. Murray is coming down to Oamaru so we can go grab a few beers! I am stuck in Oamaru this time. Hope you are well mate

Lucky Nephew.
That 750 is SAWEET!!!

This is a very old thread, I left the hospital in Dec 2024. Since then I got a pacemaker (bad idea), a knee replacement by an idiot (needs to be redone), heart cath (nothing found wrong with any vessels) and need five more surgeries which I can't get due to various silly reasons.

I'm fine. Still building bikes, still helping people on the phone and via email. I don't see the PMs here since I don't log on anymore - this is the only time in months. - too many bad experiences and I never came here to be upset.

As Margie said, my phone number and email are on all my motorcycle-related web pages - my time is your time - don't hesitate to call or write - I'm basically alone in the world so I am happy to have people to communicate with.

My current primary build is: https://www.gregmarsh.com/MC/Norton/Combat5.aspx and I have other in the works as well.

@Jerry Doe, please close this thread - I'm long out of the hospital.
