Hi guys , have done a search on the forum and youtube, anyone have a link to the video that Jim Comstock did on a gearbox and the merits of shimming in the right place.
A new found Norton owner that is some many hours away from me is struggling with a few issues.

Thanks Les thats the one Jim sent me the link as well from you tube.
I looked there, although all I got was a Jim Comstock setting beaver traps!!! (Not Norton Jim needless to say)

Mike,
Old Britts article on gear box assembly is very good. It is a step by step assembly guide and goes over the shimming process. That, in addition to Jim's video, should answer all questions.
