gearbox trouble

74-850 Commando gearbox wanted or the shell. Upon checking my buddy found a tiny crack between the bearing housings. The kickstart shaft is bent too.Its hard to find good second hand parts and reluctant to fork over the obscene amount Norvil wants. Any help for locating said item would be greatly appreciated. A crack between the bearings in the case is very common...not worth replacing the case. A SMALL amount of bearing retainer upon reassembly will fix it.

There is a "Classified" section on this forum, a sub-section of which is the "Wanted" section.

Folks here have been VERY kind with fulfilling parts requests for "swap meet / garage sale" level prices on serviceable used (sometimes new) parts, from what I've seen.
