These are the Gus Kuhn colors that are pretty standard. It appears that Kuhn’s were more liberal with their design. Some had fairings and some didn’t. The seats were all a little different. I’m not locked into “Gus Kuhn” in particular. I actually prefer the Norton PR design, but I like the bigger GK tank opposed to the skinnier and longer PR tank. My idea is to go with a Norton PR design, but use a Gus Kuhn tank. Well that’s what I’m thinking TODAY. Tomorrow I may go back to an original commando design. But that’s part of the fun!

Yellow is the only time I almost bought a new one.... Three 750's side by side with one red one on the left end which had no chance of catching my eye. 3 of them were 1500 while one yellow was 250 more. At the time I had no clue what 'Combat' meant, but old Charlie knew... Anyway I wandered away and bought another HD... So much for 19 and knowledge. I wonder who bought/whatever became of that little beauty. My mind was locked on CC's & thunder in those days. A dumbass kid indeed.
Still believe Norton looks best and ready for prom in yellow although I do black.

Yes, I like yellow also, but I have to admit, red is talking to me right now. That picture above with the black exhaust and black accents with red tank and fiberglass look pretty damn cool.

Black exhaust does things for me also. I like a little chrome here and there for accents.

I went red. I’m going to install it and see how it looks...but...I have a can of yellow standing by.

That is 'black'. Kind of hard to see the candy apple red around the edges though, but meant to be that way. Baby assured me she had no desire to appear as a bawdy strumpet in public

The fender is too sticky to attach, the seat and tank are too but they’re just sitting there.

I’ll live with this for a little while and see if it grows on me. I still have the yellow can standing by.

When I get the fairing, it will make a difference. Also when I decide what color I’m actually going to go with, I’ll have a pro do the painting, not a rattle can.

But this isn’t half bad...

Whew ! For a moment I thought Norcoastal was contemplating putting a Sportster tank on until I realized the photo was from
NPeteN ... that would have really tested my “ it’s your bike - do what you want “ philosophy.

Nope, just me, installing a Sportster tank on my Norton...

Sorry for the digression. Another nice day for outdoor painting!
