So here it is with the front fender. Makes a huge difference! I’m actually digging this color. Maybe gold Norton logo?

Obviously the upholstery is just sitting there. I need a new seat. Does anyone know who sells those seats?

Everything is just sitting there, nothing is mounted. When it goes together permanently that line will be perfectly straight. I won’t let the rear pan sag like so many I see.

Not sure about the side cover. The black is a nice contrast but it may need to be red.

Nope, just me, installing a Sportster tank on my Norton...

Sorry for the digression. Another nice day for outdoor painting!

Hey Pete, it’s really nice out. All my painting is done for now, think I’m going to take the dogs for a walk in the mountains.

This is the color is was going for. It’s brighter than what I have but lighting makes a big difference. This bike is well lit, mine is in a dark basement.

Now you can see why I suggested a gold logo.

Makes me think I have to paint the side cover red.

What do you guys think?

I like the Red and Gold combo. It's my second favorite.
If it were my bike it would be BRG.
Yellow is playing it safe, Silver makes it look like a car.

Just the right amount of gold accenting will make or break it. Just my opinion of course.

What is BRG?

Red. Red Side covers. Gold decals.

What are you thing for the number plate area?

I think the side cover should stay black, but tie it in with the same accents/striping as the rest.

The red is growing on me.
I think the number plate has to be white.

Red has the disadvantage of rapid bleaching by exposure to sun rays. You will need to park under a roof most of the time if you select this colour. If that's your intention, then go for it!

Just caught up on this thread...

FWIW I vote for the red, I think it looks great and will look even better with the fairing done to match.

I would do the side panels red too if it were mine.

Gold will work with the red if that floats your boat, might look a bit ‘showy’ though. White stands out very well on red, might be worth a thought...

This will get me abuse....

Have you considered the Dreer tank and seat unit for your project?

I actually like the Gus Kuhn tank that I have and I’ve already spent a considerable amount of money on these parts to go a different direction. But I really like his bike.
