Hopefully, the surface finish will be better on the newer ones. These "record grooves" were bad for seals/bushes.

Frank's just cut a set of tubes for me last week... excellent work and very fair pricing.
Give him a call, he's very easy to talk to.

Hi, are the tubes he makes hard chromed? I mean so they last a while....

I don't know his whole operation, but he does prefer hard chrome over show chrome due to it being easier to machine.

2000 then 3000 grit wet and dry in the lathe will make a huge difference to the surface finish it wont even make them dull it will just get shiny-er, then finish with some hi fin like compound or just autosol . your seals will love it .

Sunday, I rode some very small, windy mountain roads, with horrid broken pavement, at "extremely spirited" pace, the Cosentino & Lansdownes coming together for really good compliance.

Oh I thought earlier post meant you had the Cosentino damper units in (over a grand USD)
but the Lansdownes are much cheaper. Guess your chosen combination is cost effective.

I had no knowledge of the Cosentino damper cartidges when I installed the Lansdowns. I only bought the LD's on a whim...

Howard (hah)
I have the Cosentino units and am very pleased. My only comparison is with the stock forks.

It would be interesting to have someone do a comparison ride. I have the Lansdownes, they
do make a difference. My Enfield has a stock Norton front end, it is not nearly as plush a ride.
Probably a safe bet that the Cosentinos would be a noticeable increase in comfort and ride.
