Fork Seals

OK, the new "no leak" seals are installed with the small grooves filed in the top of the upper fork bush as per Norbsa. (Wish I had remembered to take pictures). I haven't ridden it or trailered it yet, but the fork action doesn't seem any different when bouncing the front end with the front brake applied. I'll ride it this afternoon or tomorrow and give you a report. I had a problem with the disc and pads being soaked with fork oil after the seal let go. I sprayed the disc and the pads with aerosol brake cleaner while they were removed for the seal replacement. They cleaned up nicely and should be OK without replacing the Ferado pads I just put in about 500 miles back (I hope).
