Anybody know what key blank works in the fork lock on a MK III? I thought I would go to a local locksmith before I went to ebay.

The MkIII steering lock is the 'Neiman' type, which is different to all previous Commando model steering locks.

Neiman locks were used on many R & K series BMW motorcyles, so you need this type of key blank for a MkIII: http://w6rec.com/duane/bmw/keys/key3.jpg

If you look VERY CLOSELY at the MkIII lock, you may find a key/lock code number stamped on the lock barrel next to the key slot? I don't know if that number would be any use to a locksmith or not, but an original Norton dealer would probably have had a key code chart which he could have used to identify the key?
