Flashers standard on S type?

Hi Guys,
just wondering are flashers (indicators) standard on a S type? i have seen photos of some S types with and without them, I'm pretty sure the original sales brochure shows the bikes without them...

If you want to lience your S Type, save yourself the heartache and fit indicators for OZ rules and regs.. You might get a club permit here with no indicators.. maybe not

I can get away with it here, but it's not safe. If I did it, I'd put on some that would be easily removable in case I or someone else wanted to get it back in 'original' shape. What ever that means.

My memory may be off (I've got the information somewhere in the library), but I believe that flashers (turn signals here) did not become standard for Norton until about 1972. Prior to that, they didn't come with them.
