Check the earth(ground) to the globes. Could be a failed flasher unit.
Try switching the flasher wiring from one side to the other to see if it has the same effect on the good side.
All wires colour coded for each side.

Could also be a contact in the switch. My 850 is like that. Its a bit of a shit to take it apart and clean the contacts. Be careful or the guts will explode on you and if you loose a part, it will be curtains for the switch.

If you do need to dismantle the switch, don't be afraid – they are a bit of a fiddle-faddle, but not so bad that you need to grow another hand, like some jobs. Prepare the area to catch any bits that fall out, or at least make them easily found, and go slowly and carefully. If you go slowly and carefully enough, chances are that nothing will fall out. On re-assembly, strategic dabs of grease can be helpful, besides helping prolong the switch's life. Be careful of course to keep the contacts clean. Be not afraid!
