Fitting rear Isolastic Rubber Bushes

Thanks Les for your reply.

Working on the principle that the Hemmings adjusters go on the left side (nearside) of the cradle I removed the L/H bush and was able to push the R/H side bush further into the tube by .060". It had been standing proud by .110" previously. This put the bush in a position that when the end cap was fitted with bronze washer and then the end collar there was no excess clearance on this side any longer. Previously when I fitted everything and tightened the Hemmings adjuster it had to pull the opposite side in by 1/16" to get the correct clearance for the vernier adjustment. Hope that makes sense.

I currently have it adjusted on the bench to .008". I will recheck when it is fitted to the bike.

Thanks all, now I am moving on to fitting the swing arm to the cradle.

Cheers Don

Well I have the iso setup installed now ok.

I have one other small issue. The pre Mk3 gaiter listed to be used on the offside rear isolastic has a smaller opening than the other gaiters (Part No. 063719). The opening is 38mm and the bits it has to go over are 50mm. These bits are the cradle tube end piece, PTFE disc and the end collar. I reckon that 10mm is a lot to stretch the rubber opening to get it onto and over these parts. If fact one of the front gaiters fits more easily than this one. Does anyone know why this opening is smaller than the other gaiters?
thanks
Don
