Finishing touches, for now.

Finishing touches, for now.

Finishing touches, for now.

Since the tank wasn't a hit I'm sure the side covers will cause someone an aneurysm.

The side covers are pretty rough so they'll need to get replaced at some point.

Silver is very early, cool. Bondo covers a lot of sins. Now if you could tone down that yellow?

Gorgeous bike, Swoosh...but, y'know I've never liked those "plates" on the PR...I'd just as soon cut them off flush with the rest of the seat and make a really sleek cafe looking rear end. I know, "blasphemy" to the purists.

I LOVE the "subdued-tank-logo" look, I have decided that the only place "Commando Bizarro" is going to have "Norton" on it is the Timing Cover!

I actually have a seat just like that somewhere. I think. At least I use to. It doesn't look good. It looks like someone cut the number plate off.

Awesome Bike Dave
Looks like interstate side covers in that last B&W pic and whats the hose exiting under the tail light?

Great looking yellow Norton and matching C4 Roadster....We should all be as fortunate as Dave!! :D

Not Interstate side covers, just the early Fastback style.

The tube is the breather, just shoot slippery stuff at the people behind you...

I Don't believe it. You got me again. When will I stop racing to your posts only to have my hopes dashed?

There's a lot of yellow in that garage from cars to bikes to garden tools and a latter.
At least you don't need high wattage lighting.

Great looking bike BTW.
I think a lightning bolt on the back would look sharp instead of a number.

It's usually grey and rainy so all the bright colors just help.

Plus the drivers are not use to a lot of motorcycles so you want to be bright and loud.

Yellow is the most visible.

I couldn't believe it, I pulled out in front of a M/C this afternoon in the wife's SAAB, not so he had to brake, but I was surprised when I saw him in my rear view mirror. He had his headlamp on too. It may be that he was coming on fast, I don't know, but I did stop and look at the intersection, because it's one of those intersections where you have to strain your neck to look back and I know how dangerous it is.

I've had people drive out in front of me from their driveway while I'm going down the highway out here in the country. People just think no one is coming because there is so little traffic. I had an SUV do that to me in the Miata and it scared the bejesus out of me, we passed on opposite sides from normal and he was really barreling.

Hi Dave the bike looks superb including the seat just like a real proddy racer, I had one of the original ones back in the late 70's. When are you going to get those handle bar clamps re chromed and fit the covers to the primary cover? I think that those parts would really make it look finished, I like what you have done to the tank!

Finishing touches, for now.

I put those inspection covers on a lathe. Now the openings have a more finished look.

The handlebar clamps are a reminder of what the bike use to look like. Maybe I'll refinish them one of these days, maybe i won't.

It's all just a work in progress.

Bright? You left the door wide open but after the global reprimand, I'm having trouble walking through it. Can anyone help me out.
