Featherbed Headsteady

Is a headsteady necessary when putting a commando engine in a featherbed frame? I assume not as the engine is hard bolted?

My solid mounted Triumphs all had them, so I would suspect its a good idea.

you are going to need a headsteady, the bottom end may be firmly bolted but the top end will vibrate and move, shearing bolts and tearing the best engine mounting plates!. Good luck, ride safely.
