Yup! Without Greers efforts we would’nt have the 961 and Garner would’nt have had a starting point for the rebirth of Norton @ Donington.I agree 100% ! I feel the same with Donington Norton !
What Garner did after that is a different matter, but no doubting that he changed the course of Norton’s history by bringing the marque back to the UK where it belongs.
Without what Garner established in the UK (based mainly off the back of the 961) I doubt TVS would have seen the same value in purchasing Norton and given it the opportunity it now has for success
So, that all goes to prove that the 961 is the most important model in Nortons storied history! I’m sure that the vintage boys will agree!
Also goes without saying that it’s the sexiest! Definitive proof shown below.
