I think that the whole idea about building a Custom Bike is to stir up emotions....and they may not all be positive. The most important thing is that the owner likes the creation. If you get to that point, then you have to be happy about the results. If you, as a builder, get upset about some critisism, then you should do something else for a living. Its kind of like Art work.....you create it like you want to and if you are lucky...someone else will like it to.
As soon as you step out of the box, you will most certainly get different feedback. If the negative ones stopped you from doing what you are doing, then you didnt believe very strongly in it to begin with.
I can tell you that the owner of #089 (bike went to Australia) is thrilled and that is all that matters.
Its been a long road, quite a few bikes, and I feel really good about the machines that leave the shop these days. I am extremely furtunate to be able to work with something that I couldnt be more passionate about.
