PTFE washer lubrication

Factory manual suggests silicone grease (Releasil #7). I have no idea who made this, but I have used DuPont 7 silicone grease for many years with no issues.

Check that, it is Dow Corning not DuPont. Brain fade.

The silicone grease is specified to be compatible with the rubber gaitors, no rubber gaitors removes the need for silicone.

Was silicone grease just recommended for the original Nylon? washers?
The modern bronze loaded PTFE will be somewhat different, I am trying to decide between Dry Silicone spray and Dry PTFE spray.
Probably silicone, so the lubricant is a different compound from the item being lubricated

I just look upon it as replacing the lost PTFE (liquid) that was initially in the washers. A "top-up" if you like.
