I just read where a VW electric research vehicle exploded in Italy while being driven, killing the driver and severely injuring a passenger.

Here at home Ford is facing cancelations of orders for the F150 Lightening. The price has risen from $40K to $60K, the Ford EV Division is running $3Billion in the red.

Slick
Very predictable. (The financial losses.)

I reckon the Chinese EV makers will use the cut backs to assist in cornering the market at the expense of VW et al

“ They “ won’t worry about absorbing losses incurred during this time, long term plan is the usual for them and of course the CCP has no shareholders.

Edit : that said they seem to be prolific where I live already ( MG )

where have all the ford Pinto's and chevrolet vegas gone? AMC gremlins/pacer and so on. ???

They have gone to the junkyard to which they deserve to reside in with the hope they will never rise again...and you left out Chryslers K Cars.
Many will remember those pathetic junkpile excuses for an automobile.

Yes the Honda 👍

I bought a Triumph Dolomite Sprint 2 1/2 yes old and 6 mths later put in for its first MOT / WOF which it failed on major chassis corrosion - big holes !!!
No under body protection just a quick blow over of spray paint …. Yes enough said on BL

Oh here we go...concrete roads 🙃
Where I come from concrete roading would not last a dog watch... due to seismic instability..
Wow!

Concrete roads cause huge tyre roar / road noise.

And increased tyre wear.

And concrete is one of the least green materials in construction.

Apart from that, seems like a great idea…

'“The long-term strength and performance of concrete makes [it] well suited for such roads as they do not need regular maintenance and in hot summers do not melt, unlike asphalt roads.”'

Should have played the 'Global Warming' card......

That card has been played face up mate...Did/Didnt the Roman's build concrete roads.?😉..(Their coral/crystal/salt lblended/ based concrete was a winner for sure)
"concrete roading will still need a compacted substrate along with truck loads of steel reinforcing ....expansion breaks/cuts/gaps whether is comes preformed or poured in place to handle the traffic/weight ..as said it would be no good here ...might be alright for the UK that dont suffer much from earth tremmor/quakes. ...buts its still farken ridiculous in my mind....The article should have been titled......
"Living without Bitumen" 🤣
and I'm locked out 👇

Parts of the UK motorway network were concrete in the early days, had to be replaced as the change in road noise as drivers came into the concrete caused them to pull over and check their cars for faults.

You have to be careful with one of these in the basement, too......

For some (maybe perverse) reason, I wouldnt mind another one of those - but not at that price. Passed my test on a bike similar to that.
