easy starting/tickover

I am recomissioning my old 1971 f/back after an accident 6yrs ago which damaged my knees what mod's would you reccomend for easy starting /tickover i was thinking of single carb set-up to keep the carb easier to adj tickover /mixture etc.any suggestions /advice

Lower compression
MkIII Kickstart lever
Electronic ignition
 
I'd recommend Keihin FCR flatslide carbs (from personal experience) and a Tri-Spark electronic ignition (not from personal experience but everything I've read says they make for easier starting than other EIs).

A single Mikuni vm carb. Add the choke kit to put your choke on the bars as well. With my MK111, there's no more fiddling under the tank anymore :D . The best mod I have ever done for nortons.
