The JS flat slides are very easy to foul plugs with if the air screws are turned in just a little to much.
Jim recommends turning both air screws in clockwise into you feel them seat, then back out about 1/8 of a turn, which is very different from Amal or Mikuni air screw settings.
If you have just fouled a plug as you say, then leave the needle clip and all other jetting exactly as he shipped it to you and turn the air screw out counterclockwise of the fouled side a little more.
You know you have them turned too far out if it starts to pop on deceleration, a occasional pop is set good.
This fineness of the air screws is necessary as the needle jet they turn is a fast taper, and so very little turn means a quick change in the amount of air that is mixed with gas at idle and right off idle.
Help stamp out fouled plugs, get your air screw settings right and you will never have to mess with this again.
